see ya later.

I'm leaving for a week to go on a lovely little island vacation to St. Maarten. It's gonna be so wonderful to just relax and lay out on the beach for a whole week, thanks to my friend Lauren who's boss is letting us use his time share. I can't wait. Here's a few little pictures so you can see where I'll be spending my week.

I'll do my best to take lots of pictures and share when I get back.

McWillis

I was beyond blessed to be a part of one of the most gorgeous weddings on Sunday. Not only was it gorgeous but it was two of the best people I know. Erin is my best friend and college roommate, and I've known Chad for over ten years now. I can't imagine two people better suited for each other. Everything was so beautiful. I cried, a lot. Yesterday too. If I think about it too much I'll start to cry again, I just love them both so much and am so happy for them! I even caught the bouquet, haha. For the second time this year, wonder if that means anything...

Bridesmaids. These ladies are like my sisters.

I think it's safe to say we were probably the most fun bridal party known to man.

Just Married!

Good thing we'll all be together for four days this week/end.

sleep deprived.

I worked at 7:30 this morning and I work tomorrow morning at the same time. Aaaahhh! I guess I shouldn't complain too much. It is way better than working at 5:00am, which I did for about 6 months last year, that was absolutely horrid. I've just been going and going and not getting enough sleep and not going to bed early when I know that I should. Like right now, I should be sleeping but I'm up typing this. Oh well. Thursday starts wedding week madness! I'm sooo excited for it. Thursday is the bachelorette party wooo! Friday is the rehearsal/piano bar. Saturday is a "rest day," we'll see how restful it actually is. And Sunday, two of my favorite people are getting married on Sunday!!! I have one more little project I'm working on for the wedding that I'll post this week. And I'm also helping with the flowers, so I put up some pretty pictures from that.

The infamous picture from 4 years ago.

I love this one.

Could they be any cuter? I don't think so.

more pinwheels!

Here are the rest of the pinwheels that I made for Erin's wedding. I love all the different colors, but I think some of the buttons are my favorite part.

I think they are going to be put in with some of the flower arrangements. I can't wait to see how they look!

and keep the things you forgot.

I've been on quite the Elliott Smith kick recently. Ever since I was discussing songs for the wedding with Erin. We both love mr. Elliott and she asked me if it would be morbid to have one of his songs at the wedding. And it just so happened that as we were talking it over, he was playing at the coffee shop we were sitting in. I absolutely love me some Elliott Smith. And I could listen to it for hours on end, I do realize that most people don't feel this same way and can only listen to smaller doses.

A couple years ago I went to visit the wall dedicated to him in LA. It's painted just like the 'Figure 8' album. And I've promised to take Erin there too, I should stick to it and take her sometime this fall. After her wedding of course and things have calmed down again.

I went with my boyfriend at the time.
We both loved it.
From one of my favorite Elliott songs.

It was such a fun little day. We took the metro into LA and explored by foot, saw lots of interesting things, and had a lot of laughs.

sneak peek.

Just a little preview of something I've been working on.

Now that it's almost fall I feel like I have more of an excuse to crochet more. Scarves and hats here I come.

I should be finishing up another little project today/night, so hopefully I'll post that tomorrow.

lace and doilies.

Two weeks from today is my best friend Erin's wedding. I am so completely excited for her to get married to Chad. They are so wonderful together, and I would even venture to say that they are perfect for each other.

I've been helping her do some little things here and there, and last week I made some lace/doily runners for her tables. We got the idea here and I absolutely love it and think they are gorgeous. My friend Rachael also made them for her wedding (which was beautiful beyond words).

some of the doilies she gave me to use

some that I bought for this specific reason
doilies that I already had

I love them and I loved making them.

complete.

My poor little computer has been sick a lot over the last two months, which means I haven't had it a lot. But now it's back and I'm hoping she stays with me for a long time now. Anyways, that's one reason why I haven't updated this thing in forever. That and laziness.

I am finally putting pictures up of my granny square blanket. Which I finished
about a month ago.
I absolutely love it.
I have lots of different favorite squares. And the yellow, mint, and light blue one, below, is one of them.
It is now my go to blanket whenever I am cold.
Which means it's perfect because fall is right around the corner.

P.S. Fall is my favorite!
