it's friday! i'm ready to party. in the desert.

i'm about to leave for a bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs!

this weekend we're celebrating Laura before she gets married next month. i can't wait to lay by the pool and sip on tropical drinks all day and go out with my girls at night. we have a few surprises for her too, but shhh! i can't tell you what they are...

two summers ago we celebrated marina's bachelorette party in palm sprizzle.

busy bee.

It seems as if I don't know how to slow down. Since my east coast trip (and it seems like days before), I don't think there's been a day/night without something going on. I got home a week ago and since then I've been in a wedding, to a graduation, and two Angels games. Tonight was the first night I came home from work and didn't have to do anything, it was so nice. Don't get me wrong, everything that has been going on is super fun, but now I think it's time that I have some "me" time and relax a little. Well, that is before I leave on Friday for Laura's Bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs!

I promise to try and get back to posting regularly very, very soon. I have so many pictures from my trip and the wedding weekend to share. So for now I'll leave you with this:

exhaustion.

i'm not sure how i came to have this thought process whilst planning

for my east coast trip two months ago:

"sure, going on a week long trip and coming back 4 days before i'm

a bridesmaid in sarah's wedding is a great idea."

this though was totally bogus. i still feel jet lagged, worked an 8 1/2 hour day today, and have been running around trying to get all my things together for the Goerzly Wedding Weekend Spectacular. I work at 7:30 tomorrow morning and am leaving straight from work to go and bake cupcakes for the wedding. to be followed by the rehearsal. saturday is graduation (for the groom and other various friends, including this beezy). and sunday the wedding. with many other activities thrown in throughout the next three days. i'm already exhausted, and i'm praying i can make it til Sunday night. but i'm sure all the fun will help get me through.

and i can't wait to see Sarah on her big day. this girl is my sister at heart.

jet lag.

I got back from my east coast trip last night and i couldn't sleep. then i woke up early this morning. thankfully my boss gave me an extra day off to recuperate, i didn't even ask her to.

today i've been trying to cross things off my to do list to get ready for Sarah and Tyler's wedding weekend! I finished sewing 100 feet of bunting today, yay! and i picked up my dress. two things crossed off.

i can't wait to share more of my trip, but that might take a day or two.

SCREAM!

This weekend we had a Scream-a-thon. It was pretty ridiculous, but I absolutely loved every minute of it.

We watched the first 3 movies at home. Accompanied by lots of delicious and not so nutritious snacks, I even made peanut butter cupcakes, and lots of stupid jokes. It's actually pretty funny to watch Ghostface take a beating in the first couple movies because he is so clumsy, and the way he runs is just too much. It's so much better when you can talk and joke through while watching. Then we went to see the new one that night. I must say, that is a lot of slashing for one day and I think I've had my fill of slasher movies for quite some time.

Today I have the day off and a very large and daunting to-do list.

Which includes finishing pinning 100 feet of bunting for Sarah's wedding in a few weeks.

And now I'm off to get as much done as I can before my wombie date tonight.
